Tips for Choosing a Career

Team Bright Scholar

Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now”

A Group of formers in my village work hard and dream high, but never meet ends. The reason is simple, if A is growing Banana and Making little money, B, C, D and E wants to grow the Same .The result is surplus production and low rates.I quoted this to say that, If your friend has opted certain course does not mean that you have to choose the same. That is why I always tell students to dream high and prepare from the beginning. Everything is possible. Many a time’s students become the victims of Mass hysteria. For instance When the IT industry was hit hard, everybody joined Mechanical Engineering as if they will graduate within 30 days and start earning.

I repeat that one should dream high and prepare from the beginning.

  • Listen to your parents view points. At the end of the day, they are the ones who fund your education. If you have a different view, engage them in a healthy discussion. Remember family support is ultimate.

  • Have clarity about your strengths and weaknesses (aptitude).

  • Discuss with your Mentors and successful Individuals.

  • Know your Budget and family limitations.

  • Spend sufficient time in understanding the career. Salary, nature of job, local and global opportunities.

  • Choose such a career which has enough scope for higher education

  • Have multiple options.

Sometimes due to various reasons you may fail to make it, don’t worry. Don’t get depressed or try for self destruction. You can still choose the best career after graduation. World is big my friend. Work hard and respect your time and money. Believe in destiny. There is nothing like good job or bad job.

Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.
